The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) suffered their first loss in the Indian Premier League (IPL) when they were defeated by Mumbai Indians (MI) by ten runs. The game was in their hands, but Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik were unable to score 19 runs in the final 12 balls.
On the day of Kolkata's loss, Shakib Al Hasan had a huge chance to prove himself. This all-rounder had the opportunity to lead his team to victory. "Shakib is the master of these pitches, Shakib plays on such a pitch almost regularly. He should have taken his team to the port of victory," Harsha said in a post-match discussion on the popular cricket-based website CricBuzz.
"I understand Russell's point, he doesn't like to play on such slow wickets. But Shakib should have finished the match. As he has grown up playing on such a slow pitch, "he added.
