Mominul Haque became the Test captain of Bangladesh after Shakib Al Hasan was handed a ban by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Although he performed with the bat but his team's performance in white was disappointing. His side only managed to seal a victory against Zimbabwe out of six Test Matches. Due to such performances, he faces heavy criticism but the skipper is ready to take all the pressures.
The Tiger captain believes that there will be some pressure if he leads the team. The biggest challenge is dealing with this pressure. Mominul thinks that the criticism should be accepted with a smile, especially when the team is not able to perform.

"You need the result, if you do not get the result, the pressure on the captain ... The pressure is to say that there are so many people, the whole country, you are representing the country at the international level. You have to have so much pressure, you have to take so much pressure when there will be no result,” said Mominul during a press conference Sunday.

The Bangladesh team had the last practice at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur today [Sunday] before leaving for the two match Test series in Sri Lanka. With this tour, Bangladesh wants to forget the whitewash wound against West Indies Test series at home last February. Mominul believes his team will be able to turn around and ready to take the pressure.
“If I think there is pressure then I’ll find my place in a load of pressure situation. So as a captain of the team, I know I have to take the pressure. I have the ability to take all those pressures” he added.
