Following the failure of the New Zealand series, Bangladesh is preparing to visit Sri Lanka for a two-match test series. Khaled Mahmud Sujon is optimistic and wants to see the cricketers crave for victory in the upcoming series.

Speaking to the media, Sujon said, “I don't know if they are excited. Maybe, as the result was not good against New Zealand, also we could not win the Test against the West Indies – because of that we are on the back foot. But I always think Bangladesh is a very capable team, of course we don't have many players, but that doesn't mean we are a bad team. We are still a good team.”

“I think that's how I want it, a slogan would come up among us that we are Team Bangladesh. I want to see that Team Bangladesh on the field. Losing-winning is part of the game, we can lose. We will fight, play with all our possibilities - that is the attitude I want on the field,” He added.

Sujon has been given the responsibility of Bangladesh's team leader in the Sri Lankan tour, and thinks that those who will play well will win. But he wants to see a winning spirit among the cricketers.

“I want the players to play on the field with that attitude. Play their best cricket. I am not concerned about the results. If we play well we will win. If they play well, they will win. This is normal. I want to see the attitude on the field that the struggle to win, that is important. To see that, I will try to do my best as possible.”
