A Century by Nigar Sultana guided Bangladesh women’s emerging team to clinch the second ODI against South Africa emerging team by 7 wickets at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh captain Nigar and Rumana Ahmed’s unbeaten 115 run partnership led Bangladesh to win the match with 27 balls in hand. Skipper Nigar hit a ton, scoring 101 runs off 135 balls with 11 boundaries while Rumana scored 45 of 69 balls, hitting 4 fours.
However, they were in trouble as they lost two openers Murshida Khatun (21) and Shamima Sultana (7). Last match hero Farjana Haque Pinky could not settle down on this day, as she returned for 15 runs.

South Africa bowlers Khayakazi Mathe, Michaela Andrews and Anneke Bosch took one wicket each.
South Africa opted to bat first, the opener Andre Steyn and Robyn Searle steered the side to a great start, however their partnership of 57 runs was ended by Salma Khatun. Robyn returned scoring 19 runs and Andre Steyn scored 80 runs off 118 balls with 7 boundaries.
Then Anneke Bosch scored 42 runs, Leah Jones (16) and Faye Tunnicliffe (15). No other batter could cross a double figure. At the end of innings they collected 196 runs for 8 wickets.
Nahida Akter and Ritu Moni took 3 wickets each and Salma got a wicket for the team.
