An independent fact-finding committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that bio-bubble has been breached several times during the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The PCB formed a two-member committee of infectious disease experts to investigate what went wrong with the bio-secure bubble in PSL 6.
After the investigation, Dr. Syed Faisal Mahmood and Dr. Salma Muhammad Abbas submitted the investigation report to PCB President Ehsan Mani. The PCB will announce its final decision even after closely monitoring the report.

However, a PCB source told the media that no one was specifically blamed for the breach of the bio-secure bubble. At the same time, if the PSL resumes in June, the two-member inquiry committee has advised the stakeholders to abide by the health rules.
The PSL was postponed last March after several cricketers and officials were affected by Corona. At that time, only 10 out of 34 matches were played. Among the locals, Fawad Ahmed was tested positive for Corona. Along with that Tom Banton and Lewis Gregory were attacked by Corona.
According to the Pakistani media, the corona infection in the PSL was due to the negligence of the stakeholders. Dr. Sohail Saleem, the head of the medical department of the PCB, has already resigned due to this incident.
