Pinky stars in Bangladesh win against SA emerging team

Bangladesh women’s emerging team registered their victory over South Africa emerging team by 54 runs in the first ODI at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Farzana Haque Pinky shined with the bat as she remained unbeaten on 72 runs.
South Africa got off to a good start while chasing the target of 196 runs, Andre Stein scored 41 runs, Apart from him Robin Surley (15), Anneke Bose (16) and Khayakazi Mathe scored 17 runs. No other player could touch the double figure, at the end of the innings they collected 141 in 44.5 overs.
From Bangladesh side, Salma Khatun took 3 wickets for the team, Jahanara Alam, Rumana Ahmed and Sanjida Akhter Meghla took two wickets each.

Earlier, South Africa emerging team decided to bowl after winning the toss, Bangladesh started well with the two openers Murshida Khatun and Shamima Sultana, they batted together for 18.1 overs and made a partnership of 78 runs. However, Murshida scored 36 and Shamima 34 before their departure. Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana returned to the dressing room with two runs.
Pinki came to the wicket after 2 wickets for 80 runs on the board. Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals as Murshida, Rumana, Ritumani, Salma, Nahida, Jahanara returned. But on the other end Pinky remained unbeaten on 72 off 100 balls with 5 fours.
The remaining matches of the series are scheduled to be played on April 6, 8, 11 and 13 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium
