Bangladesh emerging team to play series against SA amid lockdown

Bangladesh women's cricket team's one-day series against the emerging South African team is set to begin from April 4 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced that the series will continue as usual despite the lockdown in the country.

As the lockdown starting from April 5, the BCB is not worried about the matches as the series will be carried out under biological protection. The in-charge of the women's section of the BCB said this to the media ahead of the series.
“So far we decided to continue the series, we are not allowing anything, not even the spectators in such an environment. Everyone is in bio-bubble security, tomorrow is our first match. Our series will continue until the government comes to a decision. Bangladesh Cricket Board decided to continue the series,”
The South Africa women’s emerging team is scheduled to play five ODIs against Bangladesh. The first ODI will be held on April 4, rest of the ODIs will be played on April 6, 8, 11 and 13.
