Sachin Tendulkar hospitalised a week after testing positive for COVID-19

Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has been hospitalised 'as a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice' one week after he was tested positive for the global pandemic novel COVID-19.
Tendulkar, meanwhile, took to Twitter and announced the news with everyone and hoped he will return home in a few days. He also wished his teammates and the fans on India's 10th anniversary of the 2011 World Cup win as well.
Sachin Tendulkar tweeted, "Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone. Wishing all Indians & my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup win."

Recently, he had participated in the Road Safety World Series, where he successfully led the team to the title win. In the tournament, he performed quite well and scored two fifties as well. However, after the tournament, he confirmed his positive report, where he had tweeted, "I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay. However, I’ve tested positive today following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative. I’ve quarantined myself at home and am following all the necessary protocols as advised by my doctors."
"I want to thank all the healthcare professionals who are supporting me and many others across the country," he again shared.
Apart from Tendulkar, India Legends players Subramanium Badrinath and the Pathan brothers – Irfan and Yusuf had also been tested positive for the COVID-19.
