The International Cricket Council (ICC) Board has decided to postpone the inaugural Women's U19 World Cup, which was due to be held in Bangladesh at the end of the year, because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The decision was taken by the ICC Board after a series of virtual meetings.
Two years later, in January 2023, the event will take place. However, it's not cleared in the statement that whether Bangladesh will be the host or not then.

"Covid-19 has had a significant impact on the establishment and subsequent development of the U19 programs in many countries and teams would not be able to prepare appropriately for a global event later this year. As such, the inaugural event will now take place in January 2023," the ICC said.
At the beginning of the year, Bangladesh started preparations for this World Cup. The BCB Women's Wing has started the process of selecting talented cricketers through departmental coaches across the country. The game development department is also collaborating with them. But as the tournament is postponed, they are getting more time to organize the team.
