SLC announces itinerary for Bangladesh’s full-fledged tour

Bangladesh have lost the first T20I against New Zealand by 66 runs at Seddon Park, Hamilton Sunday, where the visitors gave chance two debutant players, Shoriful Islam and Nasum Ahmed.
The left-arm seamer, one of Bangladesh's stars at their 2020 U-19 World Cup win, had a day to forget. He ended with 4-0-50-0, the worst figures for a Bangladesh bowler on debut. However, Nasum shined with a good debut performance as he bagged 2 for 30 runs.
Nasum got one of the Kiwi debutants Finn Allen in his opening over, later he dismissed Matin Guptill. Despite those important wickets he thinks he didn’t give his best performance on debut.

“I don't think I was successful. Because if I had given 10 more runs less, maybe it would have been a little better. To say successful bowler ... I gave 30 runs in 4 overs. If I had given 22 or 25 runs in 4 overs here, I would have thought it was successful. Actually, I'm not happy” said Nasum in a video message on Monday.

In the 15th over of the innings, Nasum could have picked up another wicket in his last over. In the fifth ball of that over, Devon Conway has flown a catch in the deep backward square leg, although Shariful stepped on the boundary rope to ruin the catch.
“That catch of Conway. Conway had 47 runs at that time. Then he did 92. If that catch had happened, maybe 20 more runs would have been less. We are a little behind in that place” Nasum regretted.
Bangladesh team reached Napier to save the three-match T20 series, the second match will be played tomorrow (Tuesday).
