Bangladesh were defeated by New Zealand in the first match of the T20 series in Hamilton. Devon Conway has been consistently performing with the bat in T20 series like ODIs. T20 skipper Mahmudullah Riyad praised Conway's batting at the end of the first T20, said he was looking for a way to restrict him.
At the end of the match he said, “He's (Conway) is in very good touch, he has been batting really well. We need to find a way to restrict him. 190 was a good score here to chase, we conceded few more boundaries. But the batting unit has to click.”

The 26-year-old left-arm debutant, Nasum Ahmed shined in the first match of the T20 series. Two of the three wickets were taken by him, at an economy rate of 7.50. Riyad also praised his bowling at the end of the game.
“The bowlers bowled quite well, Nasum Ahmed bowled really well on his debut. Once again, we have let ourselves in the batting dept, kept losing wickets in clusters. We need to pick ourselves up in the second game.”
The remaining two matches of the T20 series will be played on March 30 and April 1.
