Veteran New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor has been ruled out of the second ODI against Bangladesh. New Zealand Cricket (NZC) confirmed Taylor had not fully recovered from his injury and would sit out the next game.

Taylor missed the first ODI on Saturday due to a left hamstring tear suffered while playing the Central Stag’s Plunket Shield around two weeks ago.
Kane Williamson, New Zealand's regular captain, has also been ruled out of the series due to an old elbow injury. However, in the first match, the host easily outplayed Bangladesh and won the match by an 8-wicket margin.
Bangladesh will play New Zealand in the second ODI on Tuesday at Christchurch's Hagley Oval which has been an ODI fortress for the Black Caps since becoming an international venue in 2014.
