Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal believes that no matter how tough the conditions are, Bangladesh is not a team to score 130 runs (basically 132). Skipper admitted that he was unable to play according to his ability.
Bangladesh batted first after losing the toss, however, after Tamim's departure, there was a regular fall of wickets, causing the batting line-up to tremble.
“Yes, it was difficult to bat in the morning. There was seam, there was swing. If you look at our dismissals, the 3-4 dismissals were very unexpected. Which we didn’t expect. As I said, we are very proud of our batting. Our team is not a side of scoring 130 runs, no matter how difficult the situation,” said Tamim.

The left-arm opener has said that it is not possible to win if the batsmen do not score enough runs, he thinks Bangladesh need to score at least 270-280 runs in New Zealand conditions. He also said that any one of the top five batsmen on the board would have to play big innings.

“We have to score at least 270-280 runs, to give the bowlers something to bowl at. If we get all out between 130 or 200 in this way, then the bowlers will have nothing to defend. It’s very important for someone in the top five to make a big score. If not, it will be difficult in these conditions.” He added.
The second match of the three-match ODI series will be held in Christchurch on Tuesday.
