New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has recently announced a 13-member squad for the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh as Will Young, Daryl Mitchell and Devon Conway earned their maiden ODI call-ups in the squad.
Conway and Young are also getting a chance to make their debut in the first ODI against Bangladesh. This was said by New Zealand head coach Gary Stead at a virtual press conference before the first ODI in Dunedin.

Earlier, experienced batsman Ross Taylor ruled out due to hamstring injury and regular captain Kane Williamson were ruled out due to an elbow injury, however Ross might return in the second ODI.
Since they are not available, the team management has to choose two new debutants. It is almost certain that Conway will be seen as the replacement for Williamson and Ross.
"They are two positions in the order that we have a lot of faith in and strength in New Zealand cricket. The opportunity for Devon and Will to come in is really exciting for them. They are both fine players which we've seen in our domestic formats and also international cricket to date." Stead said
Conway made his international debuts in the T20I side, where he has scored 366 runs at 52.28 and Young in the Test series against West Indies.
