Mithali becomes first woman cricketer to complete 7000 ODI runs

Mithali Raj, the captain of the Indian women's team, became the first woman to score 7,000 runs in one-day international cricket on Sunday. During her 45-run knock against South Africa Women's in the 4th ODI in Lucknow, the seasoned cricketer accomplished the feat.
38-years old batsman has now scored 7,019 runs in 192 innings (213 ODIs). She has a 50.49 average with 7 hundreds and 54 fifties to her credit. In one-day internationals, the Rajasthan-born star has a best score of 125 not out.

Notably, Mithali Raj on Friday had become only the 2nd women's cricketer to score 10,000 international runs. She joined former England captain Charlotte Edward in the elite list.
Edwards is also the 2nd highest run-scorer in women's ODIs. She scored 5,992 runs in 180 innings and is followed by former Australia Women's cricketers Belina Clark and Karen Rolton on the list. Hard-hitting West Indies batter Stefanie Taylor is 5th on the list. With, 4,754 runs in 123 innings, the 29-year-old is also the closest active player behind Mithali Raj.
