Wright joins Punjab Kings as bowling coach

Punjab Kings has appointed former Australian first-class cricketer Damien Wright as their new bowling coach for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Wright was the head coach of Bangladesh's U-19 cricket team and will assist Punjab Kings head coach and director of cricket operations Anil Kumble.

“I am delighted to come on board as bowling coach for Punjab Kings. The team looks great and there is tremendous potential in this squad and I look forward to working alongside an amazing support staff team this season of the IPL,” Wright said.
The 45-year-old bowler played 123 games in his first-class career and he had started his career in 1997-98 for Worcestershire, reported ESPNcricinfo. Wright has worked with teams in Australian Big Bash League including Hobart Hurricanes, and the Melbourne Stars, he also served as the bowling coach of New Zealand team.
IPL is set to begin from April 9 , Punjab Kings will start the campaign against Rajasthan Royals on April 12. The new bowling coach will get to work with players like Australian pacer Jhye Richardson, all-rounder Riley Meredith, Shahrukh Khan, Moises Henriques, and Dawid Malan.
