Bangladesh Legends have suffered another loss in the Road Safety World Series against Sri Lanka Legends as they won the match by 42 runs. Veteran Upal Tharanga was one-run short of a century, named the player of the match.

Bangladesh got off to a good start in reply to Sri Lanka's 181 run target. Even after Mohammad Nazimuddin's half-century, Bangladesh Legends had to accept the defeat as they reached 138 for 6 after 20 overs. Nazimuddin and Mehrab Hossain made a partnership of 57 runs.

However, Nazimuddin was returned by Dhammika Prasad. He completed his half-century before his departure, scoring 54 off 41 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Mehrab scored 27, apart from them Khaled Mashud scored 28 off 22 balls, he remained unbeaten.

Sri Lankan bowlers Tillakaratne Dilshan bagged 3 wickets, Prasad got a couple of wickets and Farveez Maharoof got one.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Left-handed batsman Upal Tharanga had a swashbuckling innings of 99 off 47 balls with 11 fours and 5 sixes and acquired a strike rate of 210, unfortunately missed the century for only one run.

Veteran Dilshan and Sanath Jayasuriya started the innings well, however opener Jayasuriya had to return during the sixth over of the match. Dilshan scored 33 off 23 balls with six boundaries before he was sent off by Rajin Saleh through lbw. Others, Farveez scored 12, Chamara Silva 24. 

Bangladesh Legends' Mohammad Rafique, Mohammad Sharif and Rajin got one wicket each.
