Sachin-Virender stars with the bat in Indian Legends win

Bangladesh Legends faced India Legends in the augural match of Road Safety World series in India. India Legends beat Bangladesh Legends in the first match of the tournament by 10 wickets. Veteran Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag registered the victory by chasing the target of 110 runs with 59 balls remaining.
Bangladesh posted 109 runs by losing all wickets , while chasing the target Sehwag smashed 80 off 35 balls with 10 boundaries and 5 sixes while Tendulkar scored 33 off 26 balls with five boundaries.
Earlier, Yuvraj Singh and Pragyan Ojha and Vinay Kumar grabbed two wickets each while Manpreet Gony and Yusuf Pathan also got one wicket each.
From the Bangladesh side, opener Nazimuudin had an extraordinary innings but missed his half-century as he scored 49 off 33 balls with 8 fours and one six. Rajin Saleh and Javed Omar made 12 runs each,while rest could not stay long on the pitch.
The first edition of the series was canceled after four games on March 11 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The venue for all the matches of the Road Safety World Series in 2021 will be The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.
