Bangladesh young tigers have been out of the game since their remarkable title-win in the under-19 World Cup in 2020. The champions could not get any opportunities to play amidst the Corona pandemic. The current squad of the under-19 team is getting ready to comeback to international cricket with the upcoming series against Afghanistan.
Bangladesh U-19 team will play a bilateral series against the U-19 team of Afghanistan organized by Afghanistan Cricket Board. The series will be played in India. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujon confirmed the news to the media.

"Bangladesh team has a tour. In the next few days, Bangladesh will play against Afghanistan U-19 team. The series is hosted in India by the Afghanistan Cricket Board" he said.
The Tigers' tour schedule is yet to be finalized, but the series will feature one-day matches and four-day matches.
However, the BCB wants to prepare the world champion under-19 team within the limitations. The chief executive said, "Our youth team is the current champion team. In that case there were some additional plans. We have not been able to implement these due to the Covid protocol. We have been able to take advantage of the opportunities that were available."
