The Bangladesh tour of Sri Lanka was postponed last year, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. However, Bangladesh is set to tour Sri Lanka to play a two-match Test series in April. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said the Tigers would have to stay in a three-day quarantine for the upcoming tour.

"Of course we had a concern, You already know that England has visited Sri Lanka. So we will have the same protocol. It is said that the first three days of the quarantine are must. Then be able to return to practice and other activities after being tested negative in the corona test. The previous strict rules have now been lifted by Sri Lanka” he said.
According to the previous rules, the Bangladesh team had to stay in the room quarantine for at least two weeks. This time there are no such restrictions. At the end of the three-day quarantine, the Tigers will be able to return to practice. The rules that England has followed will be the same in the case of Bangladesh.
The BCB is hopeful to release the full schedule of the tour of Sri Lanka soon. He added, “Sri Lanka has made some progress beyond , the final schedule has been sent to us. Our team management is waiting for some issues. If that is the case, we hope to publish the schedule in a day or two.”
