Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has turned down the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) central contract offer as the batsman was unhappy with the entitled category.
Pakistan T20 specialist declined the offer after being placed in the 'C' category in the PCB's newly released central contract list.

"Mohammad Hafeez declined the reward and while I am disappointed, I fully respect his decision. He wants to wait for the PCB Central Contract 2021-22 list, which he is fully entitled to. Hafeez has been one of our star performers of the season and we hope he will carry the form and momentum to Africa," PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan said in an official statement.
PCB Test Cricketer of the year 2020, Mohammad Rizwan was promoted to Category A of the PCB's Central Contract List 2020-21 following stellar performances in all formats.
Rizwan has been elevated from 'B' to 'A' category for the season. He is accompanied by captain Babar Azam, former captain Azhar Ali and pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi in this elite category.
PCB shifted Fawad Alam from A+ domestic contract category to Category C of the PCB Central Contract List.
