Bangladesh team set to fly for New Zealand on Tuesday (February 23) to play three ODIs and same number of T20s as pacer Taskin Ahmed want to use his experience of World Cup in this tour. Right-handed pacer thinks that Bangladesh has to give 100% to be successful in New Zealand.
In 2015, Australia and New Zealand jointly hosted the ODI World Cup. Taskin was one of the members of the Bangladesh team in that World Cup. As a result, he had the opportunity to play against the Kiwis in the World Cup.
In 2017, Taskin also toured New Zealand for Bangladesh to play a bilateral series. Although he did not do well with the ball but he did good in batting as a tail-ender. He wants to use the experience of those two games in this series. However, he also said that it is not easy to perform as opponents against the Kiwis in their conditions.
"I've played in New Zealand twice before. I've played the World Cup and played the New Zealand series. It is always very challenging for anyone from outside to play with them in their condition. If you want to do well there, it is not possible to get anything easily for both the bowler and the batsman. Because they are always the favorites in their condition and it is difficult for the opposing team. But we have to be 100% active." said Taskin to media on Monday.
