Despite a hopeful last stance from Mehidy Hasan Miraz, visitor West Indies managed to clinch the second Test victory in Mirpur by 17 runs and took the series 2-0. Windies spinners shared all ten wickets of Bangladesh in their second innings.

Bangladesh started the second session well with Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar .However , the two opening batsmen were picked up by part-timer and skipper Kraigg Brathwaite. Soumya was returned scoring 13 runs, Tamim returned just after hitting quick half century. (50 off 48)
Nazmul Hossain Shanto failed again, as the batsman was struggling with the bat since the beginning of the Test series. He scored only 40 runs in four innings. This batsman was sent off to the dressing room by Cornwall, he made 11 runs on this day.
Windies spin attack Jomel Warrican and Rahkeem Cornwall took five wickets within 62 runs . As Warrican returned Mushfiqur(14) and Mominul (26), while Cornwall picked up Mohammad Mithun (10), Liton Das (22), Taijul Islam (8).

Miraz was battling with the tailenders to survive the loss, however he made partnerships of 25 runs with both Nayeem Hasan (14) and last batsman Abu Jayed Rahi (0*). The last wicket which gave the Carribeans victory came from spinner Jomel Warrican as he dismissed Miraz (31) with a magnificent catch from Cornwall .

Earlier, West Indies batting lineup collapsed as Bangladesh spinners struck early wickets and trembled down the Windies. Bangladesh needed 230 runs to win the match and level the series.
After the end of partnership of Nkrumah Bonner (38) and Joshua Da Silva (20) the visitors scattered apart and failed to take their innings further. Nayeem Hasan picked the wicket of the Mountain Man Rahkeem Cornwall (1) , as Mushfiqur Rahim caught a stunning catch driving through the boundary line. Nayeem also returned Nkrumah Bonner (38) who was bowled while trying a reverse sweep. Pace bowler Alzarri Joseph , who scored 82 runs in the first innings ,returned scoring 9 by Taijul Islam.
The visitors lost three wickets during the first session of the second innings .Jermaine Blackwood (9) was returned with a tricky delivery by Taijul Islam. Abu Jayed Rahi drew the first blood of the day as he sent off Jomel Warrican through lbw. Then he took the wicket of last match Hero Kyle Mayers, who returned scoring 6 runs.
This is Bangladesh's 15th whitewash in a series of two or more matches, eight more than any other team. Zimbabwe have suffered 7 whitewashes in their home.
