West Indies batsmen Nkrumah Bonner and Joshua Da Silva stand as they posted 223 runs for 5 wickets in the opening day of second Test in Mirpur . They stitched a partnership of 45 runs which removed Windies from the ray of bother.
Nkrumah remained unbeaten on 74 runs and Joshua Da Silva at 22. As one hero failed the other shined at the end of the day. After Kyle Mayers departed , WI was in trouble. Nkrumah made a patient half century with six boundaries getting Blackwood alongside which relieved the visitors as Bangladesh bowlers trembled down Windies top three batsmen during the second session. Then, Jermaine Blackwood was sent to the dressing room by Taijul Islam, who scored 28 off 77 balls.
West Indies have dominated the first session of the opening day. However after Lunch, Abu Jayed Rahi strikes and picks up Sheyne Moseley (7). Moseley tried to drive the ball forward but it took an inside edge before hitting the stumps. The first test hero Mayers was also returned scoring 5 by pacer Rahi .

Soumya Sarkar sparked on his return to white ball cricket, as he sent off the Windies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite(47) caught by Nazmul Hossain Shanto in the slips. Missed the half century for three runs.
During the first session, Skipper Kraigg Brathwaite and John Campbell made a fine opening stand of 66 runs before left-arm spinner Taijul Islam got Campbell for 36.
Bangladesh bowlers Taijul and Rahi bagged 2 wickets each, while Soumya took one.
