Australia are expected to tour Bangladesh later this year for their first tour since 2017. However, not for the tests which were scheduled as part of the World Test Championship, but rather for T20Is for the preparation of the T20 World Cup. Bangladesh will also host England before the T20 World Cup, meaning the matches could be organized as a triangular series between England, Australia and Bangladesh.

Aussie’s were scheduled to visit Bangladesh in April last year to play a Test series. The tour was postponed due to the corona pandemic. There’s no possibility for the belated Test as the final of the World Test Championship will be held in April.

Meanwhile, the 2020 edition of Twenty20 World Cup was to be held in Australia. It has also been postponed due to coronavirus and the T20 World Cup, 2021 edition will be held in India as per the pre-arranged schedule.
On the other hand, the English are set to visit Bangladesh in September this year to play three T20 and three of ODIs. As a result, Cricinfo is speculating that a triangular T20 series with Australia, England and Bangladesh could be held in the country in September.
