Right-handed opening batsman Brathwaite had a good three-day warm up match against BCB XI, which was ended in draw on Sunday, shined with bat in the first innings with 85 runs. He didn’t bat in the second innings to give chance other batsmen. Now the 28 years old leader is ready to take the challenge in the Test series.
“I’m looking forward to leading the team. You know Jason [Jason Mohammed] is not here, so I’m looking forward to leading team. And obviously as an opening batsman, I got my job, I’ll be facing the first ball. I want to lead from the batting point of view and going in the field, making the right decisions.” Brathwaite said after the warm-up match.
The first Test will begin on February 3 at ZACS while the second and final Test will be played in Dhaka from February 11.
