West Indies have lost the three-match ODI series with a game in hand against host Bangladesh as Tigers beat Jason Mohammed’s side by 7 wickets in the second ODI in Mirpur Friday. Bangladesh bowlers, especially spinners dominated both games and that’s why Jason gave credit to Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz for not getting big totals on board.
After returning from a year ban imposed by ICC, Shakib gave his best in the bowling department for the first ODI as he resurrected with a magical bowling figure (7.2-2-8-4) and helped to sink WI. While Miraz got one for 29 runs. On Friday Miraz played the role of Shakib with 4 wickets for 25 runs in 9.4 over. Shakib also bowled brilliantly and grabbed 2 wickets for 30 runs in allotted 10 overs.

“We are facing two quality spinners, especially Shakib is one of the best in the world. Mehidy has done very well for Bangladesh. They have been good, and we have not been able to manage them and this is the reason why we have got these low totals.” said Jason after the match.

“I think we will formulate the plan when we get there, looking at the conditions and seeing what we will do. What plans we will put in place for a better performance” he added.
