Under-19 World Cup winning campaigner of 2016 Alzarri Joseph wants to lead the pace attack for Windies as he got the chance to chief his team with the ball because most of the veterans are absent. Bangladesh was the host of that year’s World Cup, so the condition is familiar to this young gun.
The 24 years old lad is looking forward to impact more than the first ODI, where he was economical with ball and gave 17 runs in his 8 overs but didn’t grab any wicket.

“It is something I look forward to. It is a new challenge with all the pullouts. But it is something I accept with open arms. Something I expect to, lead from the front.” said Alzarri in a virtual press conference.

The Caribbean fast bowler knows it is different than the Under-19 World Cup and admitted it is more challenging to play against the national Tigers at home.
“There were some good memories. But I know coming to Bangladesh to play this ODI series, it is going to be a bigger challenge than playing the Under-19 World Cup. It is another step up. Bangladesh at home is always a challenge. I was basically looking forward to being more tuned in than what I would be than playing at home where things are more in my favour” he added.
