Decision Review System (DRS) has not yet been confirmed by the (Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series between Bangladesh and West Indies, which is scheduled to play from January 20. As an engineer from England is supposed to come to Bangladesh to operate this system.
However, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) media committee chairman Jalal Yunus said the use of DRS might not be included in the first ODI match , though would be consolidated in the rest of the series.

“DRS must be there. But one issue of DRS is that our engineer is supposed to come from London. You know that England has a new variant of coronavirus. The first 4 days out of 14 days must be in isolation, which means 4 days must be in government isolation and the next 10 days on their own a total of 14 days. But we have applied to the Ministry of Health for some concessions regarding this. At the same time we have spoken with the Covid Authority who will look after it. So let's see what happens now.” Jalal Yunus said in a media conference on Monday.

“But if we can manage an engineer on time, maybe on the 20th, maybe DRS won't be a problem. Otherwise, the problem of DRS will be solved after this first match.” He added.
DRS is a technology based method used in the game of cricket. Its main purpose is to review the controversial decision of the on-field umpire to dismiss the batsman.
