Former England captain Michael Vaughan feels that Australia will convincingly win the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India as their captain and one of the best batsmen in world cricket Virat Kohli wouldn’t be featured in the final three matches of the four-match Test series.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has granted the leave of Kohli, who is going to be a father of his first child soon with his wife and famous actor Anushka Sharma. Notably, Kohli will return to the country after the end of the first Test against Australia which is scheduled to be played at the Adelaide Oval from December 17.

"No Virat Kohli for three Tests in Australia...The right decision going to be at the birth of his first child...but it means Australia will win the series quite easily IMO .. #JustSaying," Vaughan shared in a tweet.
However, Virat Kohli will play in three ODIs and as many T20Is which will take place before the first Test, which is going to be a pink-ball game. Meanwhile, the team India has departed for Sydney and there they will be in quarantine for 14 days before the tour will begin with the three ODIs at the Sydney Cricket Ground on November 27 and 29 and the third one on Manuka Oval, Canberra on December 2.
After that, the three-match T20I series will be played at Manuka Oval, Canberra on December 4 and the SCG on December 6 and 8 respectively. The final three Tests will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (December 26), the SCG (January 7) and the Gabba (January 15) respectively.
