Tamim was tested corona negative that paved his way to take part in the competition that had snatched away the opportunity from Mahmudullah.

Mahmudullah and Tamim Iqbal were picked as replacements for the last leg of the competition, scheduled from November 14-17. Lahore Qalanders had picked Tamim to replace Chris Lynn while Multan Sultans roped in Mahmudullah in place of Moeen Ali.

The board had given the NOCs to Tamim and Mahmudullah to take part in the PSL since the tournament doesn't clash with the upcoming Bangabandhu T20 tournament.
