Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma on Tuesday revealed that his hamstring injury was fine, although he failed to contribute much and got out for a seven-ball four runs. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians suffered a 10-wicket defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final group league game.
Sharma joined the squad and led the team after four matches, due to the injury that became the centre of debate quite sometimes now. Rohit, on the other hand, stayed on the field for the entire time of SRH innings at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

"I was happy to be back; it's been a while. I was going through some tough times, but [it is] good to back," Rohit Sharma said after the match. "I'm looking forward to playing few more games here and then see what happens. Always nice to be on the ground doing what I love to do.”
When the commentator Mark Nicholas asked him if he is fit and his hamstring was "completely fine", Rohit responded: "Ya, absolutely!"
Sharma’s absence from the Indian squad that announced recently for the upcoming tour to Australia raised several eyebrows. This came after he sustained an injury and the former India captain and the board president Sourav Ganguly said that his injury has been monitored and if he manages to prove himself fit, he would be in Australia as well. However, selectors didn’t comment on that matter yet.
On the other hand, cricket activist Sanjeev Gupta on Tuesday wrote an email to the Apex Council member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), questioning Sourav Ganguly's "knowledge" about that and appealed the council to "get the matter investigated and take stringent action for the said austere lapse" as soon as possible.
