Bangladesh two experienced women cricketers Salma Khatun and Jahanara Alam are prepared to take the challenge in the upcoming edition of the Women's T20 Challenge 2020.
Bangladesh Cricket Boards game development coach Mahbub Ali Zaki, who is assigned to guide the duo ahead of the tournament, came up with this observation on Tuesday after completing the first session with them.
Jahanara began her training that is taking place at BCB’s Academy premises from October 10 while Salma joined to hone her skill from today [Tuesday] ahead of the competition that is popularly known as women’s IPL.
‘’I think both of them are ready to take the challenge in the tournament,’’ Zaki told on Tuesday.

‘’We have spoken at length regarding the high voltage tournament and to do well what should be done,’’ he said.
‘’I am not interested to do anything new with them rather trying to work on their areas of strength as that is expected to give them more confidence than trying to work out on something new,’’ he said.
BCCI announced the schedule and the squadson Sunday (October 11) of the three teams - Supernovas, Trailblazers and Velocity - that will participate in the competition that comprises three round-robin games, scheduled on November 4, 5 and 7 while the final will be played on November 9. The venues are yet to be announced.
Two Bangladesh cricketers - Jahanara Alam and Salma - will be part of the tournament for Velocity and Trailblazers respectively. While Jahanara had the opportunity to play in the competition earlier, it will be Salma's maiden appearance, who is considered one of the most experienced women cricketers in the country. She also played a big part in developing the sport in Bangladesh.
‘’Today we had match situation practice while we will be having a super over under flood lights tomorrow,’’ said Zaki.
‘’They bowled against each other and were asked to fulfil the requirement,’’ he said.
‘’They fared quite well and these kind of practice will enhance their skill to handle pressure situation in a match,’’ he said.
The pair will have COVID tests done on October 14 and 19, while they are expected to fly out to UAE on October 21
