Bangladesh young pace bowling prodigy Hasan Mahmud sustained knee injury that forced him to skip the second two-day intra-squad games that is being played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium from Monday.
Mahmud showed his pace in the first two-day games when he bamboozled the wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim as one of the technically best batsman of the country was beaten by sheer pace of the youngster.

However, his heroics was short-lived as he sustained injury on the same day that forced him to bowl only nine overs.
On Monday, Mahmud was seen wearing a tape on his right knee and when BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury was contacted to know about his whereabouts he confirmed about his injury.
‘’He[ Hasan] sustained an injury and we can only know the severity of his injury after doing the scan. For the time being we advised him not to bowl and he is following our instruction,’’ said Debashish on Monday.
Meanwhile, BCB officials said that pace bowler Shafiul Islam sustained back injury and as a result is not playing in any of the two-day games that is being played between intra-squad members of the preliminary camp formed ahead of the Sri Lanka tour that was eventually postponed.
