Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) yet another resumes their ongoing individual training sessions with the corona negative players at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur tomorrow.

The BCB, earlier, halted cricketers’ ongoing individual training session for five days after being detected corona-like symptoms among three of its supporting staff.

To avert health hazard and no more infection in practice prior to the Sri Lanka tour, the BCB suspended the players’ ongoing individual training sessions at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur since last Friday.

Initially, the BCB stopped the practice sessions for three days. Later they extended it to five days from three days with two more days adding in the roaster.

Many cricketers, their numerous fans and supporters were raring to know about the current state of the board. Cricketers can take the field again or the board will suspend it further. But it is cheering news for all that Mushfiq-Tamim can resume their practice from Wednesday after being stopped for the last five days.

The BCB gave their approval to resume the individual training at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium and its National Cricket Academy coupled with its Indoors in Mirpur.

“We are giving our approval to cricketers to resume their training from Wednesday. So, it will be started again after five days. The interested players can continue their training if they wish,” said BCB director and its Cricket Operations Chairman Akram Khan.

Later Akram added a clause, under which those players who have been tested negative for corona will be eligible to start their training from Wednesday.

On Monday, the sample of the coronavirus had been collected from 17 cricketers’ homes. Those players will be eligible to resume practice again whose corona test’s result will become negative. Those who gave their sample for the corona test have to wait for corona negative on Wednesday.

BCB Chief Physician Dr Debashish Chowdhury said the corona negative will have no bar to resume practice from Wednesday.

“There is no chance of holding practice for the players whose result in the corona test will come positive. But those whose result will come negative will have no bar to resume practice from Wednesday,” Dr Debashish said.

“We will keep corona positive players under our intensive observation. We will test them again after a certain period. Their future will depend on the next test,” Chowdhury told Cricfrenzy.com.
