Bangladesh's ace all-rounder Shakib al Hasan is expected to complete his isolation period in BKSP where he is likely to take preparation for resuming international cricket after his ban will lift by the ICC.

Shakib returned home from the United States of America after a five and half-a-month hiatus on September 2 to begin his journey towards resuming his cricketing career. Shakib, who is now serving a year-long ban for hiding conversations with a bookie, is free to resume his international cricket career from October 29 while the all-rounder has made plans to start his cricketing activities shortly after his return depending on the outcome of his coronavirus test report.

The all-rounder is out of all kinds of cricket since being banned by the ICC after he failed to inform multiple suspicious approaches from a bookmaker named Deepak Agarwal.

Whether Shakib will complete a 14-day quarantine period that is mandatory for travellers coming from abroad remained unresolved until his childhood mentor Nazmul Abedin, who designed the practice program for Shakib, came up with a clarification on Thursday.

"He will arrive in BKSP on Saturday [September 5] after receiving a negative report of the corona test that he is expected to do in Dhaka," said Nazmul. "If he stays home to complete 14-day quarantine than the time of his preparation will be squeezed and in that case his return in the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka will be in doubt."

"Shakib will be staying isolated in BKSP so he can complete the 14-day isolation period here and that is what we are planning at the moment," he further added.

The all-rounder went to the USA in March and he was blessed with his second daughter at the fag end of April while he spent most part of the one-year ban with his family in the USA.

Shakib returned home from abroad on many occasions but this time it was certainly different as he will start his preparation to stage his comeback to cricket.
