A youth cricketer of the newly-formed Bangladesh Under19 Cricket team from the second batch has tested positive for coronavirus.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Chief Physician Dr Debashis Chowdhury confirmed the news to Cricfrenzy.com over phone.
It is learnt from the BCB sources that the name of the cricketer is Iftekhrul Hossain Ifti, who is an all-rounder, hailed from Barishal Division.

“We have got a second batch cricketer, who has been tested positive for corona. We have sent him in isolation," Debashis Chowdhury said.
The rest of the players of the second batch traveled to the BKSP without him for the camp.
The four-week residential camp will start at the BKSP on August 23.
In addition, no player of the first batch has been tested negative for corona.
The physician said the third and last phase corona test of the players will be held on Thursday and the result will be given on Friday.
Head coach Naveed Nawaz is likely to join the camp at the fag end. Local coach Mehrab Hossain Opi coupled with Talha Jubair and Mohammad Salem will supervise the camp.
