Cricketers to go through COVID-19 test before touring Sri Lanka

The Panic of global pandemic novel coronavirus is gaining momentum in the sports arena of Bangladesh. According to Bangladesh Football Federation, 18 out of the 24 players recently called to the Bangladesh national football team camp have tested positive for coronavirus.
The BCB has given the opportunity to practice using the facilities of the stadium under its own management amid this situation.
Bangladesh team will tour Sri Lanka after two months if everything goes according to the plan. The national team’s camp will start in this month for that tour. The BCB will organize the corona test of the cricketers before the start of the camp for the tour of Lanka. The cricketers will have to go through this test 15 days before boarding the flight to Lanka.
BCB Cricket operation chief Akram khan told the media about the latest development of corona testing protocol for the players before leaving to Sri Lanka.
"The coronavirus test will obviously happen. We have to do it. We'll do that for a while.we will do corona test 15 days on hand before going on tour. So that even if someone's corona is caught, he can recover from the isolation’’ Akram khan said
BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan informed the media that they will soon start the corona test of the cricketers when the upcoming tour gets final.
"The test would begin as soon as the day of the Sri Lanka tour is finalized. The BCB can take the initiative of corona test through the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The BCB will examine the corona of not only cricketers, coaches but also cricketers, team boys, groundsmen and anyone who can come close to the cricketer,’’ said Nizamuddin.

The camp will start as soon as the situation improves. The second phase of individual training is scheduled to end on August 13. If we can finish the camo well here we are hoping to start national team camp from the middle of August,” he concluded.
