Bangladesh National team off-spinning all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has returned to training with a goal of becoming fit for competitive games within the next one month.
Miraz was the latest inclusion among the previous nine-player contingent who showed their interest to hold their formal practice outdoors.
However, Mahadi Hasan and Nurul Hasan Sohan were supposed to practice according to the BCB schedule. Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s name was not in it. Miraz was too late to inform the BCB about his interest. Then again he sent an e-mail to the BCB on Saturday evening and granted permission to start practice.

Earlier, BCB provided a list of nine national cricketers who wanted to resume their practice at the designated venues, where they can do running, gym work and batting for the next six days till July 26.
The nine other players are Mohammad Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shafiul Islam, Imrul Kayes, Khaled Ahmed, Nasum Ahmed, Mahadi Hasan, Nurul Hasan and Nayeem Hasan. The training module will be continuing till July 26.
“Actually I’m feeling really good. I feel good that I have set foot on the familiar stadium again. We were not away from cricket for such a long time before. It may take more than a month to return to the competitive game,” said Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
“In this meantime, our main goal is to work on fitness, skill and fit ourselves mentally and physically. I hope that I can do that in due time,” Miraz told a Bengali web portal.
Noteworthy, Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] has opened four stadiums for the players to have their individual training from Sunday which are Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium [SBNCS] in Dhaka, Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium [ZACS] in Chittagong, Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium [SANS] in Khulna and Sylhet Divisional Stadium [SDS] in Sylhet.
