Dhaka Premier League (DPL) club Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity has launched a training programme by their head coach Nafees Iqbal for their players online.
Former national player has started this innovative training idea with his players to keep them fit during the virtual countrywide lockdown of the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
All cricketing activities have come to a standstill due to COVID-19 for which the fitness of the players stands a key issue for the teams across the world. And so, the authorities are coining different mechanisms with the help of their coaching staff or the health departments.

DPL club’s team Khelaghar has taken such a praiseworthy initiative which will benefit them when DPL will resume after the lengthy break of the life-threatening virus.
It is being done for the national players, where their fitness is being monitored by the BCB whereas there is nobody to look for the local players’ fitness.
National all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraj has uploaded an online video practice session on his facebook page that became viral on social media.
Miraj said their online practice session will be continued until they come back to the ground for the games.
“In this DPL, I am playing for Khelaghar Samaj Kallayan Samity. I am very delighted to inform you that we started online training under the supervision of former national opener Nafees Iqbal,” Mehidy Hasan Miraj wrote.
“It’s a great initiative, which gives us the opportunity to train together, no matter how it is done. I want to thank Nafees Iqbal for this innovative idea. The practice session online will be continued,” Miraj added.
Jahurul Islam Omee, Khaled Ahmed, Imtiaz Hossain Tanna, Farhad Hossain are also playing for Khelaghar apart from Miraj. The club made a losing start to the DPL before it was postponed for an indefinite period due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic worldwide.
