Vettori to donate for lower-tier employees of BCB

Bangladesh spin consultant Daniel Vettori decided to donate some portion of his salary for the lower-ranked employees of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, said officials.
BCB appointed the former New Zealand captain as Bangladesh National Team Spin Bowling Consultant and the 40-year old Black Caps great has agreed to work with the Bangladesh spinners up to the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia.
He is expected to available for around 100 days in his role with Bangladesh which combines preparation phase, series’ and tournaments including the Tour of India 2019, the Asia Cup and tour of New Zealand in 2020.
Vettori will be getting USD3500 per day, which after tax is reduced to USD 2500.

‘’He had decided to donate some part of his salary to our poor employees. He had unofficially informed about his desire to the BCB cricket operation officials,’’ said a BCB official.
It was learnt Vettori is expected to donate USD 5000.
Few days back BCB had donated TK 50 Lakh 10 to athletes of 23 different federations while The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) continued its financial support to the less privileged and insolvent cricketers and sportsmen during the coronavirus pandemic.
On the eve of the Eid festival, the BCB on Thursday (May 21) handed over financial aid to 1,600 cricketers, playing in the Dhaka metropolis cricket leagues, but not under BCB contract.
The cricketers of Dhaka Premier Division and First Division leagues received Tk 10,000 each while the cricketers of the 2nd and 3rd Division leagues got Tk 8,000 each.
Earlier, the BCB provided financial support to 96 first-class cricketers and female cricketers. They got Tk 30,000 and Tk 20,000 respectively.
Cricketers are also helping distressed people during this pandemic.
