Batsman Sabbir Rahman said that he feels consistency in batting can pave his way back to the national team again.

The right-hander made his debut for the national team in 2014 and played 66 ODI, 44 T20I and 11 Test so far and also was in the squad of 2015 and 2019 World Cup squad and also was with the team in the 2016 T20 World Cup.

Despite being picked up for the biggest event where many prominent players missed to play Sabbir wasn't able to perform consistently and had to leave his position for others.

The Rajshahi born player, however, do realize that due to his missed opportunity and for his young mentality he made such mistakes which brought a break in his continuing career with the national team.

"Obviously I missed my opportunity. Sometimes I made some rush, like sometimes I get out earlier, if I have been like what I'm now then I would have made those innings big and long-lasting. But got out in many matches where I scored 40-50 runs just because to hit a six, I didn't get the chance to make any century, I didn't realize about the life, didn't had struggle," Sabbir Rahman expressed his realization in the Facebook live show of Cricfrenzy lockdown live.

He also said that the breakthrough made him realize how he should plan for his future and how to play so that he can make his comeback in the national team.

"There is one thing when you will have a breakthrough you will realize about life beautifully. How will you plan for your next ten years can be done properly after then. So, the break I got, I hope it will help me to plan how my life will run in the next 10 years, how I will play. InshaAllah I will make a comeback again with a new look or something new," he added.

Sabbir believes that if he performs well as well as have the lady luck beside him then he would re-claimed his position in the national team. For this he don't have to score centuries in every match just had to be consistent while batting.

"Actually I don't believe it, because if I perform well and if I have my luck with me and if everything goes well, I will have a chance again and if I play badly then obviously no one will give me the chance, no one. If I play well with confidence and I don't have to do 10 century in 10 matches, if I play two or three innings out of 10 matches then InshaAllah I would be able to make comeback and will get chance again," Sabbir concluded.
