Test cricket’s newest member Afghanistan toppled Bangladesh in the latest ICC rankings, published on May 1st.
Bangladesh were in tenth place with 55 points following today's ranking update while Afghanistan were in the ninth position with 55 points.

Afghanistan had been awarded test match status two years ago and have played four test matches and won two of them. The newbies of test cricket have also defeated Bangladesh in a one-off test at Chattogram which has helped them to go above Bangladesh.
Bangladesh’s test matches records leave a lot to be desired and since being awarded test match status in the year 2000, they have largely remained inconsistent in the longest format of the game
Australia replaced India as the number one test team with New Zealand retaining their second spot while India has moved to the third position.
