Bangladesh women cricket teams coach Anju Jain feels that lack of concentration in fielding proved costly in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.
Tigress returned home empty-handed from the Women's T20 World Cup in Australia where they have not won a single match in the last three World Cup and the only success they got was in 2014 World Cup when they got just one win against Sri Lanka in home condition.
Bangladesh women’s cricket team has shown immense improvement. Before the world tournament Bangladesh women team played 13 T20I games in 2019 and got win in 10.
However this also includes the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier and South Asian Games, it also witnessed the centuries of Nigar Sultana Joty and Fargana Hoque.

Tigress coach Anju Jain thinks that as the team never face-off the two giant Australia and New Zealand so it was difficult for them in the first place and also the lack of concentration in fielding caused them this failure.
“We had never face Australia and New Zealand before. We missed catches. If we could restrict them around 130, we could have tried. But 180 was too much and we didn’t do well in the fielding as well,” Jain said in an interview to womenscric insight.
Though Bangladesh had a good chance of making an upset by defeating New Zealand, but they also had to kneel down before them.
After being defeated against India and Australia simultaneously, Bangladesh made some changes in their starting lineup and it goes well for them at some point.
They brought up Ritu Moni who caught everyone's eyes as she helped them to shot out New Zealand for 91 runs after picking four wickets but her effort went in vain for batting debacle as they eventfully were folded out for 74 runs.
“We bowled and fielded well. New Zealand struggled against slow bowling and Ritu Moni is the one who can bowl little slow with full control. She can bring the ball in and away as well and that paid off,” said Anju Jain.
