Akbar and co to donate TK 2.5 Lakhs

Bangladesh’s World Cup winning Under-19 squad decided to raise funds to help the coronavirus affected people, said BCB official on Wednesday.
BCB’s game development manager Kawser Ahmed is coordinating the fundraising effort put up by the squad members that includes cricketers and officials who were involved in their ICC Under-19 World Cup winning campaign.

‘’We are trying to arrange a fund for the coronavirus affected people,’’ Kawser, who was also the manager of the Under-19 squad, told Cricfrenzy on Wednesday.
‘’We are trying to contribute as per our ability. We hope to raise TK Two and a half Lakhs and hope to hand it over to CWAB [Cricket Welfare Association of Bangladesh] as they are coordinating the donation program on our[cricketers] behalf,’’ he said.
Tamim-Mushfiq, are the paid cricketer of BCB and they formed a fund with 50 percent of their one month salary while CWAB also initiated a similar move to help the distressed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Though Akbar and others are not salaried player as they just crossed the boundaries of recent age-based cricket but their effort is truly praise worthy.
The fund is being raised by 16 cricketers and eight members from the Under-19 squad of World Cup.
