Mosaddek prefers number five, Abahani insist otherwise.

All-rounder Mosaddek Hossain is eyeing to return in competitive cricket through the upcoming edition of Dhaka Premier League, leaving behind his shoulder injury.
Injury seemed to be a regular companion of Mosaddek that forced him to lose place from national team despite being a regular member in the past.
Mosaddek lost his place in the national set-up due to his eye injury while after recovering from the eye injury he made a brief comeback into competitive cricket to play through the last edition of Bangladesh Premier League, leading Sylhet Thunders.
However he was ruled out after the eighth match of the BPL as he sustained shoulder injury and since then he was going through a rehabilitation program.
Mosaddek told Cricfrenzy that he is positive to make a comeback through DPL after gaining some confidence during the preparation.
“I have done full-fledged net today and I am eyeing to make a comeback through this DPL,’’ said Mosaddek after coming out from the Abahani nets at the BCB academy premises on Thursday.
‘’I sustained the shoulder injury during the eighth match of the BPL and since then remained out of cricket,’’ he said adding that he is ready to bat anywhere but would prefer to come out at number-five.
‘’I will be eyeing to play as per the team requirements but I would prefer to bat at number five,’’ he said.
Abahani head coach Khaled Mahmud insisted that they are planning to use him as a finisher (who bats at seven) as he had been successful for them in that position in the past.
‘’He had always been a finisher for us and we would like to play him in that similar role in the upcoming edition of DPL,’’ said Mahmud.
