Bangladesh T20 skipper Mahmudullah said on Wednesday that this dominating series win against Zimbabwe can be termed as a turning point for them.
Liton Das continued his fine form as Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by nine wickets in the second Twenty20 international to clinch two-match series 2-0 in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Liton hit an unbeaten 60 off 45 balls as Bangladesh reached 120-1 in 15.5 overs after Zimbabwe were restricted to 119-7 in 20 overs. Bangladesh won Monday‘s first match of the series by 48 runs.
The home side also won the preceding three-match Twenty20 international series 3-0 and one-off Test series by an innings and 106 runs.
Mahmudullah feels this series win will boost their confidence considering their below-par performance in the recent past.
‘’For us playing good cricket and as well as dominating against the opponent was equally important because we were not doing well in the recent times, so I think this series was a turning point for us,’’ said Mahmudullah.
‘’And I think we were favorite in every series whether its Test, ODI or T20i. So playing like that was very important, keeping focus was very important. Like many times it happens if you won the first match then the second one you might not focus in the last match and that will bring you a loss, an upset and we didn’t took that risk we were very much focused as a group,’’ he concluded.
