Bangladesh Cricket Board is eyeing to introduce live streaming in the upcoming Dhaka Premier League after successfully completing the coverage during the last edition of National Cricket League and Bangladesh Cricket League.
BCB had already introduced VDO recording in the club level tournament but this will be the first time they will be going into live streaming while the scorecard will also be updated in the digital platform.
But this live streaming that will conduct through pitch vision apps and anyone can see that in the YouTube or with the apps.
BCB management information system manager Nasir Ahmed confirmed the development to Cricfrenzy on Tuesday.
‘’You have to write down the DPL match between Abahani and Mohammedan and click live in the YouTube and you can watch it there,’’ said Nasir Ahmad.
‘’With the apps you can see a particular ball or wickets as well as shots from a particular batsman,’’ he said.
‘’We are hoping to telecast all the three matches of DPL that is scheduled to be played simultaneously on a day,’’ he added.
Earlier BCB introduced live streaming in the two first-class tournaments so that it could be helpful for the national selectors as they can see the live updates of the NCL matches without being physically present there.
The camera was placed at the top of the wicket that will help the selectors to see how the wicket is behaving along with the way batsmen and bowlers in the specific strip.
On a trial basis BCB had started to use this technology at the Fatullah Stadium through the NCL match between Barisal and Chattogram and later began to do it in other venues as well.
