Bangladesh team management is considering resting Tamim Iqbal in the series concluding last T20 match against Zimbabwe, scheduled at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on March 11.

Tamim, the new ODI skipper, is likely to be rested in the last T20 after the host clinched the opening game comfortably.
“In the evening we have a team meeting and there we will discuss about it [Tamim rest in the last game] and a take a decision in this regard,’’ a source close to the team management confirmed Cricfrenzy on Tuesday.
After getting back to back century in ODI series, Tamim cracked 41 from 33 balls in the two-match T20 series opener.
Tamim was out of form from the England World Cup to Pakistan series. In 2019 World Cup he played 8 matches and score 231 runs with the strike rate of 70.64 and average was 28.87.
Because of his slow batting he was criticized a lot. Then he played his highest innings of 158 of 136 balls and made his comeback known to everyone.
On March 8 the left-handed opener Tamim Iqbal was handed the responsibility of the new one-day captain of Bangladesh National Cricket Team.
If Tamim is not picked for the last T20 match of the series against Zimbabwe then Liton Das will accompany with Young opener Naim Sheikh.
