Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafee bin Mortaza said on Wednesday that loss against India in ICC World Twenty20 still haunts him
Mashrafee, who made his senior team debut in 2001, was first named ODI captain in 2010. After a few short stints, he reclaimed the leadership role in November 2014, leading the side to their first-ever knockouts appearance at World Cup, 2015.

Under Mashrafee, Bangladesh fortified their status as a rising force of ODI cricket by making a run to the semifinals of the 2017 Champions Trophy. In all Mortaza has led the side 87 in games, winning 49 and losing 36 - a record unparalleled in Bangladesh cricket.
Mashrafee insisted that their loss in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup against India still haunts him.
‘’The hurting match was the defeat of 1 run against India in World Cup. That night was dreadful for not only me but also for the whole team. When we arrive at the hotel were sitting at the corridor. As a captain I was feeling really bad seeing the faces of the players. Then again we have faced many challenging period. In the last World Cup we were in the tournament for a certain time then coming out of it was also tough. Whoever play the role of captain always plans to win the match. Bangladesh loosing a match is always tough time for Bangladesh. If say individually every lost was tough for me,’’ he said.
